Our students, staff and families across the district donated a total of 7,191 items and an additional $550 in donations. Thank you to everyone who participated! Derby Public Schools participated in the community food drive on February 27-March 2, 2023 to benefit Derby Community Family Services, which runs the Derby Food Bank. The school district partners with the Derby Chamber of Commerce and Derby Noon Lions Club for this event. Maintenance staff spent Friday morning picking up the items from schools and taking them all to one location to be counted. All items collected were counted and sorted by DTEC (Derby Transition Educational Center) and Project SEARCH students. We are grateful to these groups for dedicating their time each year.
