EZArrival: Real-Time Bus Updates
New for the 2026-2027 school year, Derby Public Schools is implementing Pathwise SafeDriver360 tablets on school buses to improve communication, safety and real-time bus information for families. SafeDriver360 is an onboard tablet system used by bus drivers and transportation staff to help manage routes, student ridership and bus location tracking in real time.
Using the EZArrival App, families will be able to:
- Receive arrival notifications
- View pickup/drop-off updates
- Stay informed about transportation changes
Students who are eligible for transportation will use one of the following methods to scan on and off the bus:
- Elementary: Each eligible student will receive a laminated QR code to attach to their backpack
- Secondary: Students will scan on/off the bus using their school ID badge
- If a student receives transportation for Special Education services and requires additional assistance, drivers will scan students in as they enter/exit the bus
