Chromebook Quick Tips

1. Push Ctrl-Shift-Refresh keys at same time 

2. Click ‘Yes’, when it asks you if you want to turn the screen

3. NOTE: If it does not turn all the way back you may have to do this a couple of times

1. Adjust the brightness with the keys above the 7, 8, and 9

1. Log out of the device and go to the lower left hand corner and SHUT DOWN the device

2. Once it has shut down all the way

3. Restart it and do these same steps 3 times (DO NOT Just shut the lid and open it, that will not work)

1. Plug Chromebook in with the power cord that came with the device

2. Let it charge for 5 minutes

3. Hover the cursor over the battery icon in the bottom right corner of your screen.  

4. Check the percentage of the battery's charge

5. If it doesn't go higher than 1%, the device will need to be repaired

6. Please contact your media center to have your device repaired and to check out a loaner.

1. Make sure the device is connected to WiFi

• Click on the WiFi fan icon in the bottom right corner of your screen 

• When the list comes up, look for the WiFi you should be using
• If it does not say connected next to it click on it
• Enter your password to connect to the WiFi and press [Enter]

Click on the three vertical buttons in the upper right corner of the browser window and choose ‘History’ from the drop down menu
