Vape Prevention
Derby Public Schools has taken several steps for vaping prevention with students. Vape detectors have been installed in multiple restrooms throughout our secondary schools. A vape prevention education unit will also be taught 5th grade-11th grade. Additionally, we will continue with our VapeEducate program that allows students and parents/guardians to take part in an educational program that allows them to return to school sooner from a suspension due to vaping if they choose to participate in the program.
