Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Building Needs and State Assessment Review

The Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Building Needs and State Assessment Review is a new process for all Kansas school districts for the 2022-2023 school year and was enacted by HB 2567 Sec. 12. During the August 29, 2022 Special Board of Education workshop, Boards members were provided with each school’s needs assessment to review barriers, suggested action steps and verify priorities for budget approval.

Kansas Education System Accreditation (KESA) Accreditation 

Derby Public Schools successfully completed the requirements for the status of Accredited in the Kansas Education System Accreditation (KESA), as granted by Kansas State Board of Education in regular session September 13, 2022. This status shall remain in effect until/unless changed by action of the Kansas State Board of Education.
