At Derby Public Schools we GREATLY value parent feedback. Please use the form below to provide us with ideas about how we can improve our use of Title 1 Funding at your child's school to improve student learning and to better partner with parents. 

Title 1 is a federal program that provides additional funding to help students who are most at risk of not meeting the school, district, and state standards.  Cooper and Oaklawn Elementaries are school-wide Title 1 schools.  This means that ALL students have the opportunity and right to receive services beyond the regular classroom instruction.  Current Title 1 funding is spent on our school's Title 1 Reading Teacher(s) and Math Teacher(s).  Another way we spend Title 1 Funds is to provide after school tutoring and summer programs.

ALL students are affected by the feedback on this survey.  Please continue even if your child has not received Title 1 services.

Title I-A is a federally funded program.  The goal of Title I-A is to provide instructional services and activities to meet the needs of disadvantaged children that have been identified as at-risk of not reaching the state standards.
