New for the 2024-2025 school year, Derby Public Schools is introducing a new “Partner Practice” program, designed to support our students' skill development through meaningful family engagement at home. We believe that your involvement is crucial to enhancing academic outcomes.

• Better Outcomes Together: Family partnership and participation are essential for increasing academic success.

Did you know? Research shows that as little as 15 minutes of reading each night can significantly improve vocabulary and reading levels. This is also true for math fluency and overall after-school support. Students will receive nightly (Monday-Thursday when school is in session) assignments to complete 15 minutes of IXL Math practice and 15 minutes of Reading practice. More details will be shared at a later date.
