Congratulations to Heather Bohaty, Superintendent of Schools, on being named a finalist for 2025 Kansas Superintendent of the Year!
The Kansas School Superintendents’ Association (KSSA) announced today three exceptional school superintendents as finalists for the 2025 Kansas Superintendent of the Year. In June, 37 eligible Kansas Superintendents were nominated by their peers for this year’s award. Sixteen of the nominees completed the rigorous application process which includes responding to four open-ended questions and creating a personal video in which they introduce themselves, their beliefs about education and their professional accomplishments. These applications are reviewed and scored by a select KSSA committee before being narrowed to three and announced. At the end of this week, each of the finalists will be interviewed by a committee of former Kansas Superintendents of the Year. The 2025 Kansas Superintendent of the Year will be announced on Monday, October 7 live on the USA-Kansas Facebook page.
