As a district, we are taking intentional steps to ensure technology is used in a responsible, transparent and age-appropriate way. Our goal is to support high-quality instruction, strengthen communication with families, protect focused learning time and provide parents/guardians with meaningful visibility into their student’s digital experience. Derby Public Schools also recognizes that families need tools to help guide healthy technology habits outside of the school day. Through the GoGuardian Parent Portal, parents/guardians can gain additional visibility into how their student uses their district device and set limits or restrictions for use outside of school hours.
