Summer Learning

Whether you are looking to avoid the summer slide or need academic support, Derby Public Schools has a variety of FREE summer learning opportunities for currently enrolled K-8 grade students.

Summer learning opportunities are planned by Derby teachers and staff to offer hands-on, fun activities with instructional support, physical activity and more. Sessions are free to attend and sign-ups are on a first-come, first-served basis. You are signing your child up based on their current grade. Sessions will be held June 3-27 (no Fridays). Derby Public Schools will be offering bus transportation from neighborhood schools this year, however, there is no supervision over the lunch hour. Students can not stay at the school between morning and afternoon sessions.

  • Kindergarten-5th grade learning opportunities will be held at Stone Creek Elementary. Sign-Up HERE.
  • 6-8th grade learning opportunities will be held at Derby North Middle School. Sign-Up HERE.
