The 2025-2026 school year calendar is now available! Please note, each elementary school and Derby High School will begin their school day five minutes earlier next year. Please see page 2 of the calendar for building start and end times.

The school start time was adjusted by five minutes to maximize student attendance, instructional time and efficient teacher work time. This change helps eliminate two half-days that are typically scheduled at the secondary schools at the end of the first and third quarter, which often have lower attendance and allows for a full week off at Thanksgiving for all schools, another period with lower attendance due to family travel. Middle school start times remained unchanged since they already met the instructional minutes needed. Additionally, this change helps provide additional meaningful teacher work time to prepare for student learning.
