We love seeing all our schools on the same shirt and are excited for this shirt to have a strong presence on green Fridays, both in our schools and in the community! The online store through Shirts Plus has been re-opend and t-shirts are $10, with toddler, youth and adult sizes available.

Derby Public Schools Placed on College Board's 8th Annual AP District Honor Roll
Derby Public Schools is one of 447 school districts in the U.S. and Canada and one of five in Kansas being honored by the College Board with placement on the 8th Annual AP District Honor Roll. To be included on the 8th Annual Honor Roll, Derby Public Schools had to, since 2015, increase the number of students participating in AP while also increasing or maintaining the percentage of students earning AP Exam scores of 3 or higher.

Mystery Science and PLTW Curriculum
Our elementary schools are blending Mystery Science with Project Lead The Way (PLTW) to get the best out of both curriculums. One focuses on more traditional science concepts (Life Sciences, Earth/SpaceSciences and Physical Sciences) and the other is very strong in the newer Engineering Standards and has a computer science component for every grade level. Both involve hands-on engagement for students.
