Instrumental Music

All students have access to instrumental music opportunities beginning in 6th Grade. As a Derby Public Schools 6th grader, your child will have the exciting opportunity to participate in the wonderful music programs our middle schools have to offer and then continue on through 12th grade.

No experience is needed to enroll at the start of 6th grade. We are here to teach your student and help them grow!

Instrumental Music education is more than just playing an instrument in band or orchestra, it is about immersing your child in a culture of successful students and teachers. It challenges each student to use the creative side of his or her brain in an environment that is both nurturing and encouraging of high achievement.
