From banners at Panther stadium, to wall space and the outfield at the baseball diamond, advertising possibilities are almost endless. With excellent community support, athletic and other events offer businesses the chance to reach many families who may need the offered product or service.

e-Funds:
e~Funds is the Derby Public Schools online system for collecting student fees. Fees can be paid using your checking account or credit card. The system is currently available to all distict families. You will need your student(s) account number to pay fees. The number can be obtained through Family Access or in person from the school building. USD 260 has designated certain entrances of buildings to be the primary entrances during or right after periods of inclement winter weather. These entrances will be the first areas to be cleared of snow and ice, and they will be the best places for students, faculty, and guests to enter the building.

Open Enrollment:
Derby Public Schools currently has an open enrollment policy. Students that do not live within the Derby Public School district will be eligible to enroll in Derby schools. To apply to attend school in Derby an Out-of-District Waiver must be submitted on a yearly basis, the waiver will need to be approved, and the enrollment must occur prior to September 20 of the current school year. The Out of District Waiver form will be available in April. Non-resident pupils will be admitted only to the extent that staff, equipment, and supplies are available, and policy requirements are met. Derby Public Schools will contact the applicant within 30 days of the receipt of the application to share the district’s decision. Elementary out of district waivers will be granted after regular enrollment, and parents will be notified after the transfer meeting in late July of the specific building placement.

Skylert Notification System:
This year, Derby Public Schools will be using a new notification system. Parents may change the way they receive notifications through their Family Access account by following these steps:
1. Log into Family Access.
2. On the left hand side, you will find “General Information” in red.
3. Second item listed under General Information is Skylert.
4. Click on Skylert.
5. Click on edit. (located to the right of the student’s name)
6. Make changes and click save.The changes will need to be made for each student.
Please allow 24 hours for changes to be updated.
Family 1 group: The first person listed in the Family 1 group will be able to update all setting. The remaining person(s) in Family 1 group will be able to update the additional notification section only.
Family 2 group: The person(s) listed in the Family 2 group will not see the Skylert link in Family Access so they will not be able to make changes to Skylert and will not receive alerts. Their information is not uploaded to Skylert from Skyward. Therefore, if they would like to receive alerts, then they will have to have a member of Family 1 enter their information as an additional number.
